A generous donor has once again agreed to match every dollar raised by October 31, 2024 up to $50,000! That means for every $1 donated, they will match that $1; for every $500 given, they will give $500! So even if it feels like a small donation from you, it will have twice the impact!
Do You Wish More Healthcare Professionals Understood Ostomies?
UOAA recognizes that many healthcare professionals lack basic knowledge in caring for people living with an ostomy or continent diversion. An education program addressing this is long overdue, especially for home health and bedside nursing staff. With your support we have a plan to help address this serious concern. UOAA’s new educational program “Ostomy Skills for Healthcare Professionals” will include a series of videos and PowerPoint presentations facilitated by Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses (CWOCN®). There will also be commentary from ostomates throughout the program to ensure the emotional aspects of living with an ostomy are discussed.

IRA Tax-Free Charitable Contribution
