Putting Your Donation to Work
34,411 – That’s how many of UOAA’s free New Ostomy Patient Guides, Nutrition Guides, Ileostomy Blockage Cards, Living with an Ostomy Brochures and UOAA’s website postcards were mailed to individuals and their caregivers, medical professionals, hospitals, home health care facilities and UOAA Affiliated Support Groups from January thru November, 2022. On top of that 6,972 of our Spanish publications were also mailed to the Spanish-speaking ostomy community. UOAA has also experienced an uptick in shipping costs to mail these all important publications by over 50% compared to the same time last year as well.
These educational materials help to improve the lives of new ostomates every day. With your 2022 tax-deductible donation you are helping to ensure every person facing ostomy or continent diversion surgery has the resources they need at a critical time in their life.
Thanks to everyone who has donated this year. If possible, please consider an additional year end gift to help sustain this program amid rising costs.
