Everyone is invited to celebrate Ostomy Awareness Day on Saturday, October 3, 2026! This year’s theme is One Community – Stronger Together.
The biggest events to celebrate the day are the Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k gatherings around the United States. You can also choose to get this year’s #OstomyDay2026 t-shirt sent to you in the mail and gather with friends and family or just walk or roll by yourself with the Virtual Ostomy 5k you can do anywhere.
National Advocacy is an important focus this year and we encourage you to make your state part of the movement this October by asking your governor to issue a state proclamation or letter of support for Ostomy Awareness Day. Learn more on how to take action!
Be sure to check out all he ways to get involved on our Ostomy Awareness Day webpage that will be updated with social media campaigns, partner and community activities, online events and more in the weeks ahead.
Whether you are a caregiver, medical professional, family or friend of the cause we are one community that is stronger when working together to educate the public on these life-changing and often life-saving surgeries.
