Warm welcome to South Florida Ostomy Support Group web site. We hope the information found on this page will be of great help, and hope we can provide education and comfort to all ostomates and their families. We are one of hundreds of ostomy support chapters throughout the United States associated with the United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA). Undergoing an ostomy surgery presents challenges and carries misunderstanding by ostomates and the general public. If you are contemplating surgery and have questions, we would like you to visit us.
The group meets virtually every third Wednesday of each Month from 6-7pm. Summer break July–August. Each meeting we will have Wound and Ostomy Care nurses to help answer questions, supplier personnel to help with any concerns regarding supplies, doctors to answer questions, and other speakers from the medical field. We look forward to meet you at our next meeting, and be encouraged to know that you are not alone.
There is no application or cost for membership to the South Florida Ostomy Support Group UOAA Chapter. However we do encourage our members to subscribe to The Phoenix ostomy magazine.

UOAA is the leading organization proactively advocating on behalf of the ostomy community. Recognizing that we are always stronger together, we encourage everyone to get involved by joining our Advocacy Network. We’ve also created several Advocacy Tools and Resources to help you successfully advocate on behalf of the ostomy community to ensure every ostomate receives quality care.
