Welcome
The North Okaloosa Medical Center Ostomy Support Group is a volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education, encouragement, and support to individuals living with an ostomy, as well as those preparing for ostomy surgery.
Our mission is to offer hope, understanding, and practical guidance through shared experiences, education, and peer support. We strive to create a welcoming environment where ostomates, their families, and friends can connect, learn, and find reassurance that they are not alone on their journey.
Monthly Meetings
We meet on the third Thursday of every month from 5:30PM to 6:30PM.
Location:
North Okaloosa Medical Center Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center
125 E. Redstone Ave, Suite D, Crestview, FL 32539 (see map).
Our meetings often feature guest speakers, educational presentations, and discussions on topics relevant to ostomy care and living well with an ostomy. These gatherings also provide an opportunity to network, share experiences, ask questions, and build meaningful connections with others who understand the unique challenges of life with an ostomy.
Why Join Our Support Group?
Ostomy surgery can be a life-changing experience. It may affect body image, self-confidence, daily routines, and overall quality of life. Many individuals experience a period of adjustment and emotional healing as they adapt to these changes.
Our support group provides a compassionate community where members can share their experiences, learn from one another, and receive encouragement from people who truly understand. Whether you are newly diagnosed, preparing for surgery, adjusting to life with an ostomy, or supporting a loved one, you will find acceptance, understanding, and valuable resources within our group.
Our goal is to empower ostomates to live confidently, maintain their independence, and enjoy life to its fullest.
