Elkhart Area Ostomy Support Group
Who We Are:
We are an affiliated support group of the United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA). We offer physical and emotional support for individuals who currently have (or previously had) a bowel or urinary diversion, including colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy, and those who are considering ostomy surgery. Although we may be at different life stages and our health journeys are unique, we find support in sharing our stories and our questions, listening and learning from each other, and knowing that we are not alone. There is no cost for membership to our group, and all are welcome.
Meetings:
We meet for in-person gatherings on the third Monday evening of each month (with the exception of August and December). Our meeting programs vary monthly, covering a variety of topics including, but not limited to ostomy issues and nutrition, emotional and physical well-being, new product availability, and other subjects of interest that are not always ostomy related. We often have guest speakers at our meetings but always allow time for ostomy related group discussion as a regular part of every gathering.
