Dartmouth Hitchcock (Lebanon NH) Medical Center Ostomy Support Group

We extend a warm welcome from the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Ostomy Support Group in Lebanon NH.

Meetings:

At Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the Ostomy Support Group is a peer to peer support group facilitated by an ostomy nurse. It is open to anyone who has or will have an ostomy. It is also open to significant others or anyone who cares for an individual with an ostomy.

The support group takes place on the second Thursday of each month from 4 to 5 pm. The group meets both in person and virtually:

In-person: Please arrive at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center – 1 Medical Center Dr, Lebanon, NH (See Map). Attendees should proceed to the 4M clinic waiting area. Someone will come out to get you prior to the start of the group. There is no need to check in at the reception desk for this group as it is not a medical appointment.

Virtually: If you would prefer to attend virtually, please email Laura Sheedy at laura.a.sheedy@hitchcock.org to receive the meeting link.

Each person is on their own journey, but there are shared experiences and feelings that when told or heard can help validate and support others along their path. The ostomy support group provides a safe and welcoming place to tell your story among people who understand and share your experiences and feelings.

The group offers education, encouragement, and support. We have guest speakers throughout the year and cover topics such as skin care, relationships, travel, go-to products, and more!

We invite you to join us and be encouraged by one another. Know that if you are unsure about joining, you are welcome to just listen in. No one has to share or speak if they are not ready. You can attend just to hear others’ stories. All are welcome and we hope to see you at our next meeting.

We encourage you to sign up for UOAA’s free Monthly E-Newsletter at: https://www.ostomy.org/e-news-sign/
