Each year UOAA advocates from across the United States engage their elected officials in their state about the importance of raising awareness for lifesaving ostomy surgery.

World Ostomy Day will be held on October 4, 2025. The International Ostomy Association determined this year’s theme as “Invisible Disabilities. Visible Support. The Global Unity of Ostomates.”
