Members of UOAA’s governing Board of Directors play a key role in determining the strategic direction of the organization. If you have leadership skills and want to share your knowledge and experience to help ensure UOAA continues its mission to support the ostomy community now and well into the future, please consider becoming a leader on our volunteer Board of Directors.
UOAA currently has an opening for our “Director of Affiliated Support Group (ASG) Affairs.” This volunteer, appointed position will be seated on UOAA’s Board of Directors on January 1, 2026. The Director of Affiliated Support Group Affairs shall serve at the pleasure of the President and the Board of Directors until such time as they choose to resign by submitting a 90-day notice to the President.
As a leadership member of an Affiliated Support Group in good standing and/or UOAA National Member, or any other qualified people representing a diverse geographic area, culture, and employment expertise both of a medical and management nature, this is your opportunity to nominate or be nominated for this position.

There is a time commitment of approximately 20 to 30 hours per month, with more during UOAA’s national conference years. The person must be able to travel at least once annually and more during conference years and be available for occasional evening meetings.
If you would like to help UOAA continue its mission to help ostomates on a national level, please fill out the Nomination Form below and return via email or postal service to UOAA to arrive no later than Friday, January 30, 2026 (extended from October 13, 2025). If you are a member of an Affiliated Support Group, remember that each form must be signed by the leader of the support group, and if that person is the person being nominated, it must be signed by another member of your leadership team.
