The new Palm Coast Florida Hospital

The St. Augustine Ostomy Association is a support group (formed  in 2006) for people with ostomies. An ostomy is required when a section of the intestine or urinary tract must be removed and waste must be collected in an external pouch. A colostomy, for example, is an ostomy created after a section of the colon (large intestine) is removed.

Group meetings are sponsored by Community Home Health Care and take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month, at 4:00 p.m. in the Alicia Room in Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine, Florida.

All Ostomates and their family members/friends are welcome. The group provides support, education and information for those who have or will have an Intestinal Ostomy or Urinary Trace Diversion. We plan to have speakers periodically as well as time for interaction and discussion among members. See and learn about the wide variety of appliances and equipment available through presentations from manufacturers and suppliers. Paula Canelli- Flagler Hospital Enterstomal Therapist and Margaret Cotter, R.N. will be available to answer all questions.

Please contact Margaret Cotter, R.N. at 904-819-1250 with any questions.
